Social Discomfort

I feel out of place. The people with which I interact and see regularly have markedly different hobbies and mindsets than I. The way this post is worded is indicative of that. Also I understand well that I'm poor or NOT high class but there are worse differences.Essentially I have a high class temperament. I'm calm and analytical. Most people who share my financial standing are much more inattentive and impulsive. I am finally feeling the pressure of social appropriateness. However I do not feel that I should give up my mindset. I'll probably keep it to myself -- my sensibilities that is.

Description

It was the best of times it was the worst of times... thanks Tolstoy for that opening line. I haven't actually read War and Peace but that opening line is perhaps the epitome of this blog. I am at a low point in my life much like many budding bloggers and this blog will document this 'adventure'. What this actually means is that I will be separating the gems from my strife and putting them here for you to see. Mostly there will be unconventional recipes, clever ways of doing things, and weird ways of making money. I titled the blog The Fern because the Adinkra symbol AYA (The Fern) is symbolic for resourcefulness and endurance.

www.adinkra.org puts it this way: The fern is a hardy plant that can grow in difficult places. "An individual who wears this symbol suggests that he has endured many adversities and outlasted much difficulty."
